This is a well written work depicting the choices of one person who lived in the mad, wild times of the sixties. It’s a look through one woman’s eyes of the times. In this respect it makes a good history of the people, the politics and the drug culture. This is the story of one woman’s desire for peace, ever searching her soul and the world. It is written in a literary style, with few errors. I like that. The editing I would give five stars. The book is informative with accurate snapshots of one woman’s life and the events of that time. It has in many places lovely imagery and use of words, especially in the poetry. The poetry scattered throughout the book is very powerful. I liked that best of all.I gave this book four stars only because it is not the type of book I generally read. If sharp, frank modern histories were my bag, this would have five stars. It is a thought-provoking story of interesting times.

A Wide Ride through The 60's Brinngs back alot of memoies of a time when people were confuse by the war. And flower power was a in thing
This is an interesting and well-written story of the 1960's drug culture in America, and the motivations and passions behind both the peaceful and violent protests. It was written through the sad eyes of a true flower child. The prose keeps you turning the pages.
This gives me better insight into a time in America I just thought I understood. Wonderful story telling and great subject matter made this hard to put down.
I would recommend this book to women who remember how difficult it was to define their roles in the '60s and '70s. Ms. Taylor tells the story of one of these women with the lyrical prose of a poet.
An authentic picture of the Sixties by a woman who lived it. Eleanor B. Taylor speaks her truth in this sensitive and poetic portrayal of those troubled times. I found myself glued to the unfolding story of Sylvi, not always in agreement with her decisions, but riveted none-the-less. It is a page-turner. I thirst for more and look forward to the sequel.
This book is absolutely wonderful. Just as rich and complex as honey is, so is this story. Ms. Taylor does an excellent job of assisting the reader with truly visualizing what is happening throughout Sylvi and Z's journey through the late 60's and early 70's. The words are so beautifully put together and the story engaging that it is hard to put this book down. The historical aspect of this book is spot on, documenting accurately the time period of 1967 to the early 1970's. This story makes you feel as though you are right there experiencing Sylvi and Z's wild journey. You gain a true understanding of the peace movement during the 60's Revolution. Very well written, I highly recommend!
